Embodied Consent Workshop
Harvey Rabbit
One of the fundamental values of Village.Berlin is consent.
Awareness of one’s boundaries and the ability to give our consent or disagreement are vital skills.
Our workshops often involve partner exercises, which is why we want to make these two concepts aware of everyone who participates. In this workshop we will learn to ask for permission, to give our consent, to saying no to a partner, accepting no from a partner, etc.
This hands-on workshop intentionally involves the body, allowing for a felt and embodied experience of consent. We will practice expressing and negotiating our desires in terms of physical interaction, identifying our own limitations and creating a framework for exploring them.
We will take time to explore what and how we are feeling and we will practice communicating about it. We will also practice how to say “no” to what you don’t want. Step by step, through negotiation, we will create a space of consent (consent) in which we physically meet ourselves and each other.
Whether you’re familiar with this concept or totally new to it, this is a great opportunity to explore or learn more about it.
This event will be in English.
