Wege aus dem Chemsex
Jan Großer & Kai Ehrhardt
Ways out of the Chemsex | Group-oriented bodywork for gay men with Jan Henry Großer & Kai Ehrhardt
As part of health promotion, we offer you a workshop with 3 dates on the subject of chemsex.
The 6-day workshop (3 weekends) is aimed at gay men* who practice chemsex and seek abstinence or greater control over their substance use and sexual practice.
Body therapy exercises provide practical experience and insight into topics such as body awareness, body & Emotions, communication, experiencing conflicts, shame, personal boundaries and crossing them alongside others. In group discussions, experiences from bodywork are reflected upon, and participants can discuss their own concerns and experiences. Aspects of gay sexuality and sex culture as well as interpersonal and intimate relationships are discussed in short keynote speeches.
As we will be building trust with each other, it is not possible to join after the first workshop. The workshops are built on each other. We ask you to be sober for the dates.
“From a sexology and sex therapy perspective, a place of human and physical encounter is a great enrichment. Learning to feel your own and other limits and to allow closeness is important aspects for many people who, for various reasons, could not gain this experience or have forgotten it.
Many MSM in general, and chemsex practitioners in particular, show significantly more deficits in these areas than the general population. Counseling and therapy can create an awareness of this, but this does not per se allow for an experience of closeness and belonging. The offers from we are village represent a necessary supplement from which those affected benefit greatly.”
