The first edition of the Instinct Performance Art project is a art performance project that invited a group of Berlin-based performers to explore and challenge traditional notions of\u00a0sexuality, gender, constant transformation and performance.<\/p>\n

The body as a political discourse on stage and fine art as the foundation for movement. Instinct works on the premise that the limits of creativity and art are not constrained by our bodies or our idea of normality.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t

Alexander Carrillo, lover of imaginary worlds & queer artist, shares \u201esketches of transformation\u201c, a landscape of emotions. A body that represents a lot and nothing, everyone and none.<\/p>\n

Alexander Carrillo is a Colombian, Berlin-based artist. He studied Dance at the University of Art ASAB in Colombia. Trained at the Folkwang University of Pina Bausch in Germany at the ArtEZ in Holland. He choreographed his own work on an aesthetic reflection, exploring by his personal interest the concept of \u2018The Ugly\u2019 and \u2018The Role of the Audience in Performing Arts\u2019. He integrates his roots as an authentic work: Tradition and native customs in South America, and how they influence contemporary western societies and cultures.<\/p>\n

Retrospectrum \u2013 5 solos for 5 decades by Tomi Pasonen<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Tomi Paasonen, born in Finland, was a ballet dancer in Hamburg, San Francisco and Chicago until an accident ended his dancing career in 1997. Since 1991 he has choreographed over 70 pieces, mainly dance pieces but also directing opera, theater, photo and film projects as well as interactive installations and site specific projects. In 2013-2018 he was Artistic Director and festival curator of a national dance center in Finland. In 2019, he returned to Berlin, where he began archiving his life\u2019s work as a preparation for his comeback to the stage. 2020-2021 he created his very first solo trilogy for himself with the main themes: past, present and future. The preoccupation with his own body as a performer and dancer again led him to, after decades, reinvestigate his relationship with ballet, resulting in the premieres of \u201cAttitude\u201d and \u201cPas de Q\u201d in 2022.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t
