belonging versus loneliness

belonging versus loneliness

Everybody can sometimes feel lonely. As human beings we have a natural longing for social connection and support by others.

Due to individual and structural discrimination queer people have an ever higher risk to suffer from chronic loneliness.

In collaboration with the State Office for Equal Treatment – Against Discrimination, we are village | queer matters has launched a program that addresses loneliness in the queer community. Since then, we are village has developed into a central point of contact that provides support, connection, and community for queer people.

The Project Belonging versus loneliness offers a variety of initiatives aimed at combating loneliness and isolation among queer people. The workshops and activities are run and curated by Kai Ehrhardt, founder of we are village.

We aim to gain a better understanding of how people feel within their social environment, and have created a survey.

Your honest answers will help us develop measures and strategies that can contribute to addressing loneliness and generate a greater sense of belonging.

Please answer the following questions as honestly as possible. We kindly ask you not to provide any personal information that could reveal your identity. Your responses will be treated confidentially
