Instinct #15 presents a film selection as multi-faceted as experiences of loneliness: the fragmentation of modern life in which technology caters for the innermost fantasies and acts as an alternative stage for love; the resulting need for profound physical intimacy and reconnection; the paradoxes of queer life in Berlin where communities are susceptible to extreme loneliness, sometimes with tragic consequences; the isolation wrought by stringent gender norms and the inner power required to bring about one’s own desiring revolution.
