Description
Panel "Queer & Sober in Berlin”
with Vlady Schklover (Moderation), Dipl. Psych. Dr. Gisela Fux Wolf, Sarnt Utamachote, Andre Fau
In cooperation with Lemonade Queers and as part of a project on queer loneliness supported by the Senate, we invite you to a panel discussion on: “Queer & Sober in Berlin”.
This panel offers an important opportunity to understand the challenges of sobriety in the queer community and the specific loneliness associated with this journey.
We would like to welcome you not only as listeners, but also as active contributors, to discuss these important issues together. Please send us your questions and ideas in advance by email.
The panel will be divided into three main topics:
Consumption in the Queer Community: we want to discuss consumption in the queer scene without condemning it. Why is consumption so strong in the queer community? Why do most queer events take place in places where consumption can intensify?
Queer and Sober Dating: How do I date sober? We want to talk about new approaches. How can we date differently, healthier? Which new formats could be exciting?
Queer and Sober Life in Berlin: How can I live sober in Berlin? We want to talk about ideas, approaches and possibilities of what life after consumption can look like. The focus is on motivation, inspiration and hope.
Panellists:
• Vlady Schklover(moderator): Founder of Lemonade Queers, queer, author, director, musician and performing artist from Berlin.
• Dipl. Psych. Dr. Gisela Fux Wolf (no pronouns): After years of queer educational work, Gisela works as a psychological psychotherapist in an independent group practice in Berlin and previously conducted research on queer topics such as lesbian women’s health and healthcare for trans* and non-binary people.

He is the winner of the Queer Slam and was a selected reader at the LGBTQIA Authors Festival LITFEST Cologne in 2022. Vlady will take you on a theatrical journey of life, love, and self-discovery through song and poetry.
Belonging versus loneliness: everybody can feel lonely sometimes.
As human beings we have a natural longing for social connection and support by others. Due to individual and structural discrimination queer people have an ever higher risk to suffer from chronic loneliness.
In cooperation with theLandesstelle für Gleichbehandlung – (Berlin State Office for the Equality of Treatment – against Discrimination) hat sich we are village | queer matters has set itself the goal for 2023/24 to offer some programming on the issue of loneliness in the queer community.
We have also created a survey to find out more about your experiences of loneliness. With your help, we can create a better program that meets your needs and with which we can create more togetherness!
