*Connection, support and opportunities for queer international artists
“Queer Art Bridge Berlin” offers community support to enable migrant artists and cultural practitioners to connect and thrive in the Berlin cultural scene.
As an international, diverse city, Berlin is a safe haven for many queer artists who, for personal or political reasons, have left their country or have other migration experiences.
Berlin however can also be a challenging place to thrive professionally and creatively, build networks, find funding, commissions or workspaces due to high competition, bureaucratic hurdles and sometimes language barriers.
Queer Art Bridge Berlin aims to provide our queer artist community with a safe and supportive environment to promote their creative talents and unique perspectives to a wide audience and build bridges to the cultural scene in Germany. We believe that art and culture can be a powerful platform for change and self-development while enriching and diversifying existing cultural structures and art scenes through new, international queer inspiration.

The Queer Art Bridge Berlin program is free of any charge and includes:
- Networking events and information meetings about opportunities, resources and the local cultural landscape. Our Meet-ups enable artists, actors from the cultural world, higher education and associations to mingle and share experience and advice in a welcoming, convivial environment.
- Workshops with experts to master the intricacies and technicalities of the German funding system, access training opportunities and broaden one’s professional prospects.
- Exhibitions and performances to make a wide range of artistic practices accessible to the queer community and beyond. The instinct exhibitions are highlights in the Village’s calendar, bringing together international names and young talents from the vibrant, diverse Berlin art scene. “Popup” exhibitions are also scheduled to showcase artists around specific themes.
