queer connect

Experience community. Celebrate diversity

*Queer Connect is a new, intersectional project by we are village that aims to connect and empower all queer identities

Queer Connect brings queer people together, creates spaces for exchange and growth—and fosters connections that last. Queer Connect links people with different perspectives and experiences. We create opportunities where conversation flows easily, new relationships form, and participants can take away resources to support their daily lives—socially, creatively, and personally.

*TIN*
Visibility

TIN* Visibility

We are working to raise the visibility of trans*, inter*, and non-binary perspectives and are specifically inviting TIN* participants—including through a somatic group exclusively for TIN* individuals and the development of TIN* facilitators.

*Networking
event

Networking Event

Twice a year, we bring together Berlin-based actors to connect, initiate collaborations, and work together to strengthen community structures.

*Embodied Consent

Embodied Consent

The workshop is held monthly and is conducted in two languages. It is mandatory for all volunteers and facilitators and provides a common foundation. Upon request, we also offer it to other local organizations. .

*Panel
discussions

Paneldiscussions

Moderated panel discussions featuring invited experts on topics such as resilience and loneliness—with time for questions—and video recordings available for viewing.

*Why this is important

Queer life has become more visible—and yet many people still face discrimination, exclusion, or violence. At the same time, tensions are emerging within the community that can make it difficult to form new connections.
This is where Queer Connect comes in: We strengthen the community, foster solidarity, and create knowledge and opportunities for connection that extend beyond the scene.

*Who is this for?

Queer Connect is for all queer people—and especially for those who often have to be explicitly included in many spaces rather than simply being allowed to be there. We would like to specifically reach out to:

  • Queer Masculinities & Femininities
  • trans*, inter*, and non-binary people
  • queer people with disabilities or chronic illnesses
  • queer people with neurodivergence
  • queer people aged 50+
  • as well as all other queer identities and life experiences

*Queer Connect Program
