Description

Dealing with Loneliness – Bonding with Nature

with Jochen Kleres and Leon Taubert

Loneliness has many shapes: from people with very few social contacts to those who feel lonely despite having a rich social life and intimate relations. Not least it is possible to feel lonely in a big city like Berlin with its many people and opportunities.

We want to invite you to a day of retreating from the city into nature. Nature can be a place of grounding and of renewing the connection with oneself. Both is a basis for coming to terms with feelings of loneliness and for first steps towards greater connectedness.

This workshop offers a facilitated space for exploring feelings of loneliness and how they influence us. We work with and in nature (shirin-yoku / forest bathing) and we use methods from body and creative therapies (e.g. movement, drawing, writing). By sharing our feelings in a group we are already less lonely and can provide mutual support.

Together instead of lonely: Everyone feels lonely
sometimesAs humans, we have a natural longing for social connection and support from others. Queer people have an even higher risk of suffering from chronic loneliness due to individual and structural forms of discrimination.
we are village has created a questionnaire to find out more about your experiences with loneliness. With your help, we can create a better program that meets your needs and with which we can create more togetherness!
