Description
Connection & Desires
Sensual Touch Lab Series for GBTQ men*
February: Connections und Desires with Maevon Canter. The evening will begin with a guided undressing ritual that helps participants slow down and become more mindful of their bodies and boundaries. Through a series of carefully designed exercises, we’ll explore how we experience desire, pleasure, and connection.
Participants will engage in consent-focused partner exercises that include guided touch interactions, reflective discussions about personal boundaries, and somatic awareness practices. The workshop provides opportunities for non-verbal and verbal communication about comfort levels, helping individuals understand their personal boundaries and practice clear, respectful communication.
Clothing is optional, with full respect for personal boundaries maintained throughout the experience.
Maevon Canter has been exploring spirituality and movement for over 30 years. In 2009 Maevon began studying somatic practices with Authentic Eros and certified as a Sacred Intimate in the Body Electric tradition. He currently teaches BodyFlow massage on the Village’s Soul of Skin program and contributes to Stretch.
What is Sensual Touch Lab Series for GBTQ Men*?
Sensual Touch Lab Series for GBTQ Men* is a monthly workshop where we aim to create a space for sensual closeness and playful encounters.
Embodied, somatic experiences that appreciate our full-bodied nature. Using sensuality as an approach to explore new ways of dealing with our own fears or patterns related to nudity, intimacy, and touch. We invite you to explore, communicate, and possibly expand your personal boundaries within a framework of mutual respect and consent. This opens up the opportunity to experience the power of touch, sensation, and non-verbal interpersonal connection.
Each event will be a guided process, which will have a special touch depending on the theme and background of the facilitator*, whether it be bodywork and touch, somatics and intimacy, or something else. These short workshops may include nudity, partner exercises or close physical interactions.
