When eight-year-old Brian comes to in the basement of his parents’ house, he can’t remember what happened to him in the last few hours. The closest explanation for him seems to be an abduction by aliens. Neil, who is the same age, has a similarly fateful experience around the same time when he falls in love with the coach of his baseball team.
Ten years later, Brian searches for a memory of the experience and suspects that Neil might be the key to the memory. He now works as a hustler and has just left the small town to seek his fortune in New York. Only when Neil is in town for a Christmas visit do the two meet and suddenly the individual pieces of the puzzle make sense and they realize what dark secret connects them and what their scars, both internal and external, have to mean…
Village.Berlin’s monthly movie night started off as an informal gathering of members to show some of our favourite camp classics. Over the years the program has expanded beyond GBTQ themed films to explore more queer / non-normative point of views in a variety of genres and styles. Following each screening, visitors are welcome to stay and discuss the films and related themes in an informal group setting.
