Description
Village Film Night - PIONEERS / short film program
with Marcelo Alves
Looking ahead to June LGBTQ Month, we’ll be celebrating some of the pioneers of LGBTQI history. The program will feature fearless individuals that contributed significantly to their communities at times when violence, harassment, and persecution towards LGBTQs were common. Depending on availability, the program will include stories on legends such as Mother Flawless Sabrina, Magnus Hirschfeld, Stormé, among others. As always we will hold and open discussion after the screenings.
Program:
“Anders als die Anderen” D; Richard Oswald
“Stormé: The Lady of the Jewelbox” D: Michelle Parkerson
“At Least You Know You Exist” D: Zachary Drucker
“Confessions” D: Kurk McDowell
