Description
“Queer Art Bridge Berlin” Meet-up
As an international, diverse city, Berlin is a safe haven for many queer artists who, for personal or political reasons, have left their country or have other migration experiences.
Berlin however can also be a challenging place to thrive professionally and creatively, build networks, find funding, commissions or workspaces due to high competition, bureaucratic hurdles and sometimes language barriers.
In order to overcome various challenges in terms of access to cultural participation, we at Village Berlin have launched a new network meeting as part of our Queer Art Bridge programme.
This meeting gives queer artists and cultural practitioners with and without refugee and migration experience, representatives from art and higher education institutions and other actors of the Berlin cultural scene the opportunity to make contacts in an informal setting to exchange ideas, stories and experiences.
This event will be in German and/or English depending on participant needs.
