Description

What does it mean to be queer and online these days?
The internet gives us endless ways to explore queer identity, but it also brings noise, pressure, and comparison. Many online spaces take more than they give, pushing a specific idea of queerness that can leave you feeling diluted instead of nourished.

e*xtend exists as a counterpoint: a warm extension of Stretch Festival by we are village.. Like Stretch, e*xtend is a space to explore new ways of being that nourish the body, mind, and spirit.

Across the day, we’ll dive into creative, somatic, and reflective practices; gather for discussions that matter; and create moments of genuine queer connection.
e*xtend welcomes anyone drawn to exploring their body, creativity, emotions, and inner queer spirit.

Programm

The program offers two virtual gathering spaces designed to foster meaningful connection:

First, a CONNECTION Room
where you can join group games, thought-provoking conversations, and one-to-one pairings with other queer people that spark meaningful dialogue. Here you can connect with your people and build community regardless of physical distance.

Second, a CREATION Room
featuring workshops run by facilitators from the we are village community, many of whom are also present at Stretch Festival. The workshops will be a mix of embodied practice, creative, and discussion-based and experimental sessions.

We will have lunch together online, and we will begin and end the day with queer ceremony: grounding, intention-setting, and gentle integration.

Sample workshops:

Write for Life, Write for Self – with Todd Barrowclough
A reflective writing journey to explore your story through creativity and culture. The workshop is taught in English, but you can write in any language you like.

Naked Yoga – with Merdan Akbayir
A nude yoga class to explore fragility and vulnerability in a safe space. It’s not about eroticism: all parts of our bodies are equally acknowledged as being part of our lives.

Dancing Little Mermaid – with Jorge Rodolfo De Hoyos Jr
A fun dance class to loosen those joints and get your body limber! No experience needed, just come as you are, dance like you’re home alone, and get juicy, open, and activated.

Practical details

e*xtend takes place on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 9:00 to 17:00 CET. To join, you will need a good internet connection, a laptop or smartphone, and curiosity.
