Rest, Resist, Rise: A Day of Empowerment – Queer Bridges

We are exhausted from carrying so much. Don’t we all deserve a day to breathe? To step back from daily struggles and reclaim our strength?

Let’s gather for a full day of workshops: a space to rest, celebrate joy and movement, and equip ourselves with tools to resist the violence and discrimination we face in our everyday lives. Together, we transform care into empowerment and solidarity into action.

• Dance & Touch Workshop (with Turkish-English interpretation)
In this workshop, we move freely without fixed steps or choreography, discovering our own dance. Touch is not only about physical contact but also about creating deep connections—with the stories of other bodies, with social issues, and with ourselves. Together, we embark on both an individual and collective inner journey.

• Self-Defense Workshop (with Turkish-English interpretation)
Learn tools and practices of physical and emotional self-protection, strengthening both body and mind.

• Self-Care Workshop (in Turkish)
Focusing on relaxation, resilience, and collective care.

After the event, participants are warmly invited to join the Queer Bridge Language Café at Village, starting at 6:30 PM. Participation is free.

LesMigras is an organisation by and for Trans* and Cis Women, Trans* and Cis Men, all Genderqueer, Non-Binary, Trans* and Inter* people who are Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay, Pansexual, Asexual, Queer People. Queer Bridges: Forging connections and providing resources for LGBTQIA+ people with migration experience Queer people with migrant backgrounds in Berlin often face unique challenges in their daily lives that can limit their access to supportive communities and inclusive environments.
With the support of the Deutsche Fernsehlotterie Stiftung, we have developed the Queer Bridges program to overcome these barriers. We provide resources, networking and support in a welcoming environment for queer immigrants and refugees through our special program. Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging to the local LGBTQIA+ community, enabling smooth integration and an improved quality of life for queer migrants.
