Playfight Queerfight
Dorian Bonelli
Playfighting is a confrontation between dominance and dance in which we search for our own unique expression of power and ingenuity.
We hope to open up new fields of learning from each other and to challenge each other in the most nurturing way.
How do we relate to each other?
How do we play together?
How do we challenge each other?
This session will be facilitated by Dorian Bonelli an artist based in Vienna who practices and teaches this format since over a decade in various communities.
It will provide a longer warm-up phase to arrive in the space, connect to the group and do a series of exercises focusing on the topic of support, experiencing holding and being held, shared effort, carrying weight and moving together.
In the second part we come together in the traditional form to watch two playfighters do their thing inside a circle of attentive spectators. They always find their very own expression between competition and cuddle in the very moment of contact.
This encounter is an intense and unique opportunity to share our vulnerability, dedication and beauty.
No special skills or knowledge or mood is needed to participate in this playful evening. Come as you are and share your authentic presence in this non-verbal practice.
Bring a drinking bottle, compfy clothes to move (long trousers) and maybe a small snacks to share afterwards.
This event will be in German and/or English depending on participant needs. This event can be attended as one of two free monthly events, which are included in the we are village membership.
