Description

Duna Dun “The Journey from essence into body”

with Saeed Asadsangabi

This movement-based workshop invites participants on a sensory, imaginative journey through embodied improvisation, beginning with a gentle warm-up and exploring modes of being inspired by mineral, plant, and animal qualities such as weight, growth, and instinct. Through guided movement, participants listen to the body, move beyond fixed forms, and explore the relationship between sensation, imagination, and environment, with a focus on experience rather than performance—offering space to play, experiment, and reconnect with the body as a living, changing ecosystem. No previous dance experience is required; come as you are, with curiosity and openness.

Saeed is a non-binary Iranian dancer, choreographer, and facilitator based in Berlin. They are currently studying Dance, Choreography, and Context at the University of the Arts (UdK) Berlin. Their artistic work explores cultural identity, transformation, and innovation, with a strong focus on improvisation and futuristic reinterpretations of Iranian folkloric dance. By blending traditional elements with contemporary movement practices, Saeed creates a bridge between heritage and modern expression. As a facilitator, they aim to connect mind and body, awaken imagination, and guide participants into spaces that feel both familiar and unknown, where new embodied experiences can emerge.

Queer Bridges: Forging connections and providing resources for LGBTQIA+ people with experiences of migration and/or displacement.

Queer people with experiences of migration and/or displacement in Berlin often face unique challenges in their daily lives that can limit their access to supportive communities and inclusive environments.

With the support of the Deutsche Fernsehlotterie Stiftung, we have developed the Queer Bridges program to overcome these barriers. We provide resources, networking and support in a welcoming environment for queer immigrants and refugees through our special program. Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging to the local LGBTQIA+ community, enabling smooth integration and an improved quality of life for queer folks with experiences of migration and/or displacement.

✅ Our Queer Bridges program will continue to evolve and we are always happy to hear about your needs. If you are interested, you can send us an e-mail to stay informed about further updates.
