Description

Transfem* Embodied Practices

with Lux

A 2.5-hour monthly space for transfeminine people across all femme spectrums (trans women, transvestites, hormonal faggots, butch femmes, gender-nonconforming, and those identifying within the broader transfeminine experience). The space welcomes those on HRT and those not pursuing medical transition, recognising embodiment as both physical and political.

The intention of this space is to support building confidence in our physicality as femmes, nurture bodily autonomy, and develop touch literacy within a supportive community. The practice is intended as an exercise for femmes’ resilience against societal violence and exclusion, rewriting those narratives with empowerment, presence, and joy. The journey flows from individual body awareness (somatic practices and touch) to communal movement (dance and spatial exercises) and ends with free movement and integration, all centered around consent, autonomy, and care.

Lux, also known as Luxifera, is a trans femme, gender-nonconforming Italian artist based in Berlin. A movement facilitator, bodyworker, DJ, and performer, Lux intertwines somatics, movement, art, sound, politics, and gender. With a background in dance, performing arts, facilitation, and embodied practices, she creates methodologies centered on bodily agency, touch literacy, and spatial awareness. Lux’s work is informed by her experiences navigating transness in artistic spaces, nightlife, and bodywork environments, as well as daily encounters with structural violence and the exercise of expanding her existence beyond the binary. She fosters inclusive, non-hierarchical spaces for reconnection with the body.
