Description

Ways out of Chemsex | Explore embodied tools for a deeper connection. For gay, bi & trans men*

Workshop Series with Jan Großer and Kai Ehrhardt

In the program of health promotion we offer in cooperation with the Berliner Aidshilfe, Jan Großer and Kai Ehrhardt a 6-day workshop (spread over 3 weekends) on the topic “Ways out of and encounters after chemsex”.

This 6-day workshop, spread over 3 weekends, is specifically designed for gay, bi & trans men* who are practicing Chemsex and wish to achieve abstinence or gain better control over their substance use and sexual practices.

Body therapy exercises provide practical experience and insight into issues such as body awareness, body & emotions, shame, communication, experiencing conflict, personal boundaries and their transgression among others.

In group discussions, experiences from bodywork are reflected upon and participants can discuss their own concerns and experiences. Aspects of gay sexuality and sex culture as well as interpersonal and intimate relationships are addressed in short impulse lectures.

As we will be building trust with each other, it is not possible to join after the first weekend. The workshops are built on each other. We ask you to be sober for the dates.

WE1: 02 – 03 May 2026
WE2: 27 – 28 June 2026
WE3: 11 – 12 July 2026

Jan Großer is psychiatrist and psychotherapist with experience in sex therapy and substance misuse. He has done 5 years of voluntary work in psychological counselling at Schwulenberatung Berlin. His aim is to promote physical and mental health through psychoeducation, real-life intervention techniques and conflict resolution strategies in dealing with illness, sexuality, substance use, shame and experiences of stigmatisation. He is familiar with all these issues both as a doctor and therapist and as a gay man with HIV directly affected.

Kai Ehrhardt founded Village.Berlin in 2016 (today: we are village) and the Somatic Academy Berlin in 2012. Kai is in charge of the management and development of both projects. He also develops and facilitates workshops & trainings and curates the STRETCH and BODY IQ festivals. As a somatic educator, he teaches the Prof. Middendorfs Breathexperience and Continuum and holds the German Heilpraktiker license for psychotherapy. In 2002 he founded Authentic Eros – an offer for gay, bi and trans group processes around intimacy and touch, communication and personal development.
