Description
Open writing circle
David Le Guillermic
Explore the joy of writing!
Whether you write for pleasure or are a confirmed author, whether it is a way to feel good, empowered or just to relax, come and join us for a convivial, inclusive workshop!
No previous experience is required. All you need is a curiosity for the writing process and a desire to nurture that little inner voice that’s been waiting to come out. Now is the perfect time to give it a try, to experiment with words and expand your own narrative horizons.
Every session will revolve around a particular theme. We’ll draw upon techniques used in writing workshops and endeavour to give each other feedback, support and encouragement. This collaborative environment will allow for a dynamic exchange of ideas and insights.
This workshop aims to create an affirming, playful and empowering space for queer people to explore, express and celebrate their identities as well as to provide a platform for the stories of the LGBTQIA+ community to be shared, heard and valued.
David Le Guillermic is an author and cultural freelance writer for the French press. Originally from Paris, he moved to London in his early twenties where he got involved in the world’s first-ever LBGT picture agency whilst volunteering in HIV/hate crime prevention campaigns. Living in Berlin since 2004, he has mainly focused on literary projects dealing with topics close to his heart: urban space, social issues, gender politics, queer history. At we are village he leads the monthly Open Writing Circle and is one of the Movie Night curators.
