In 1985, the Berlin Aids Help was founded as a self-help organization to support people with HIV or AIDS as a non-profit and charitable organization. Today They are a human rights organization with a focus on health care. They fight against the stigmatization of HIV-positive people and for a life free from discrimination. On behalf of the state of Berlin, they take on tasks in the field of health care and prevention in the areas of HIV and AIDS, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and hepatitis.
