Wannsee to the Pfaueninsel.

This short 8 km Winter walk takes us on good paths along the shore of the Wannsee to the Pfaueninsel and includes a ferry to the island. On the island, which has mixed woodland, the eponymous peacocks roam free even in Winter, there’s a Schloss, and Wilhelmine buildings for the architectural among us, and a dairy.

There are no opportunities to have a quick coffee or a snack on the walk, so bring something to drink and eat if you like. After leaving the island, we can stop at a restaurant before taking the bus back.

The Village Outdoor Events are a monthly gathering for the we are village community and their friends to explore the outdoor nature in Berlin and beyond including forest hikes, bike tours, lake swimming, city sights, kayaking in the surrounding countryside and more. The foundation of the Outdoor Events is a free and relatively easy walk or hike once a month in Berlin’s green areas and locations reachable within the S&U Bahns.

This event is free of charge in terms of organization and participation. If there are any entry or usage costs, we can cover them through private donations to ensure 100% accessibility for all.
