“I like men, I’m 30 years old, a teacher by profession,” says Frank, who sometimes goes out in the evening as Peggy. He meets Bernd while wearing drag – and takes him straight home from the cinema. From then on, the two are a couple. Frank enjoys being with Bernd, but he also wants his freedom beyond the confines of home: meetings with other men, especially anonymous sex in parks and public toilets, adventure, excess. He is not available for the monogamous partnership and a quiet life on the farm that Bernd wants. At the annual fdrag ball there is a scandal.

Village.Berlin’s monthly movie night started off as an informal gathering of members to show some of our favourite camp classics. Over the years the program has expanded beyond GBTQ themed films to explore more queer / non-normative point of views in a variety of genres and styles. Following each screening, visitors are welcome to stay and discuss the films and related themes in an informal group setting.
