Description
Village Outdoor - Berlin Wall Trail, Section 6:
Through the Spandau Forest to the Spandau Forest Hospital
with Harms Wulf and Daniel Salamon
From the banks of the Havel, this section of the Berlin Wall Trail takes us westwards through the Spandau Forest, a varied mixed forest of oaks, alders, ashes and beeches. We touch the exclave Eiskeller, a wide heath area that used to be accessible only via a narrow corridor. From there, the path leads through a moor to the end of the hike, the former (now partly dilapidated) ) Karl-Bonhoeffer-Nervenklinik Spandau.
