Consent needs practice! Being aware of your boundaries and expressing your consent or non-consent are essential skills in life, but we rarely get a chance to actually practice them, the way we practice singing, playing sports or learning a language. If you are new to our community, this is the workshop to start with.

Exploring Consent (in English)

Learning about boundaries and communication with Hippolyte Jugand

Consent needs practice! eing aware of your boundaries and expressing your consent or non-consent are essential skills in life, but we rarely get a chance to actually practice them, the way we practice singing, playing sports or learning a language.
Consent is about much more than a simple yes or no. When we deconstruct consent, we discover how to communicate our true desires and stop choosing the things we actually don’t want. Through discussion, movement and partner games, we build tools to express and negotiate physical desires and set boundaries.

• This workshop is the foundation for navigating the we.are.village community and creating a safe space together.
• This is a non-sexual workshop, open to people of all body sizes, genders and backgrounds.

Based in Berlin, Hippolyte Jugand draws from a background in spatial design, people management, and contemporary dance to explore movement and touch. Coming from a conservative cultural background, moving to Berlin sparked a desire to question norms around the body, relationships, and sexuality – and later those within cis-gay culture. Hippolyte’s practice grows out of exploring grounding, intimacy, and the collective, shaped into shared spaces of experience.
