Crafting Your Career Workshop - Challenges and Opportunities - Queer Bridges

with Armando Garrine

Join us for an interactive workshop where participants will explore key aspects of building a career. Led by HR expert Armando Garrine, who brings nine years of international HR experience and a personal journey as a queer individual with African and European heritage, this workshop will be tailored to your interests and needs, and we will be raw in addressing core issues of the employment journey – no sugarcoating.

From crafting a standout CV to navigating challenges faced by migrants, we will cover essential tools for your career development. Please bring questions, we will discuss cases, and we will learn from one another. At anytime during the workshop, you will be able to ask questions.

Armando Garrine is a queer person living in Berlin and working in the field of organizational psychology. Inspired by Nichiren Buddhism, they believe that every single individual has unlimited potential and that art is a very powerful expression of individuality and connection to the unconscious self. Music, lyrical singing, classical piano and dance are active passions that occupy a large part of Armando’s life.

Queer Bridges: Forging connections and providing resources for LGBTQIA+ people with migration experiences.

Queer people with migrant backgrounds in Berlin often face unique challenges in their daily lives that can limit their access to supportive communities and inclusive environments.

With the support of the Deutsche Fernsehlotterie Stiftung, we have developed the Queer Bridges program to overcome these barriers. We provide resources, networking and support in a welcoming environment for queer immigrants and refugees through our special program. Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging to the local LGBTQIA+ community, enabling smooth integration and an improved quality of life for queer folks with experiences of migration and/or displacement.

✅ Our Queer Bridges program will continue to evolve and we are always happy to hear about your needs. If you are interested, you can send us an e-mail to stay informed about further updates.
