Somatic Movement for the Elderly Queers: Discover Your Mobility

We invite our older community members & friends to a workshop specifically designed to improve mobility, reduce stress and create a deeper connection to your own body.Through guided exercises and light movement, we invite you to deepen the dialog between your body and mind and discover a new form of well-being in an inclusive, safe and enjoyable environment.
We value diversity of bodies and experiences and especially want to provide a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community and their allies.
What can you expect?
Learn fundamental movement techniques for better balance and awareness. Experiment with expression and self-discovery in a safe space. Receive personalized exercises to enhance your mobility. Share personal experiences and build strong connections within the queer community through group discussions and peer support.

Florian Filtzinger studied Anthropology & Communication Science and worked in manifold projects of queer Berlin since 2013. Throughout his experience, he saw how most of the time our bodies needed to be of use or needed repair when they were sick or not functioning well enough. In 2017 he engaged in the study of somatics at the Somatic Academy Berlin and now offers courses to uplift the body as a true resource for wisdom, joy and depth in our lives.
General information:
• Language: This workshop will be helded in German to ensure everyone can participate, regardless of their English proficiency. Having a basic understanding of German will help you engage fully.
• Cost: free event with registration.
