Description
Touch Me Soft - Regenerative Touch for Queer People
With Noam Raz
We will embody delicacy, and give space and time to explore the experience of touching and being touched in a gentle and attentive way. Listening to micro events, respecting subtle responses and letting them guide us into finding a touch that is nourishing and that aligns with our state.
We will start with a solo movement exploration, to tune in into ourselves and delve into sensitivity. From this state of listening, we will start approaching and interacting with another presence. There will be time for verbal processing and sharing as well.
Noam Raz is a workshop facilitator, therapist, Feldenkrais Practitioner and Family Constellation guide. His work is driven by sensitivity and is an attempt to create experiential spaces for people to develop autonomy and trust in their own body and internal processes. Throughout the years, he trained and explored a variety of physical and embodiment practices which inform and enrich his work: Dance, Taiji, Somatics, Kink, Voicework and Meditation. Coming originally from the realm of Philosophy (Wittgenstein!) and Linguistics, attention to language and its workings is somehow always in the background.
What is Regenerative Touch?
Regenerative Touch is a monthly workshop where together we create conditions that help us to slow down, to drop into our bodies and to explore the profound impact of mindful, restorative touch in a supportive and nurturing environment. Touch, often overlooked in daily life, is a basic human need.
In these workshops, we create a space solely for its regenerative, down-regulating and connecting capabilities, free from any romantic or sexual connotations. Touch communicates directly, reaching places words cannot.
Did you ever experience the calming effect of a warm embrace or a comforting hand on your shoulder? Even a brief 15-minute hand-holding session can lead to a significant decrease in heart rate, reduction in blood pressure, signalling a strong relaxation response. A simple 20-second hug can lead to higher levels of oxytocin, the hormone associated with bonding and trust.
Every Month, one of our rotating and trauma-sensitive facilitators will frame the evening around themes like presence, nervous system regulation, emotional safety and focus on hands-on experiences rather than too many words or techniques. No bodywork experience necessary – just bring your curiosity.
