Queer Images: exploring creativity and connection
with Michael Rolnick
_May_ “Collage and Narrative” – Telling Stories Through Layered Concertina Images
Collage is more than just cutting and pasting—it can be a powerful way to tell a story. In this workshop, we’ll explore how found images, textures, and unexpected juxtapositions can create compelling visual narratives. Whether you’re drawn to surreal compositions, personal storytelling, or abstract themes, these techniques will help to bring your unique vision to life. No experience required—just curiosity and a willingness to experiment!
What is Queer Images?
In these monthly sessions, you are invited to express yourself by making visual art. The focus is on process, not outcomes. We aim to open a channel to our personal creativity, while forging deeper connections with our inner selves and to each other. No special skills or “talent” is required, only the willingness to actively engage with a sense of curiosity.
Michael Rolnick was born in London where he trained as a dancer at The Royal Ballet Schools. His dance credits include work with Northern Ballet Theatre, Scottish Ballet, The Lindsay Kemp Company, AMP and numerous others. Michael also works as a choreographer and makes visual art. Additionally, he teaches Pilates and is a co-facilitator of our Authentic Eros One-Year Training.
