Curatorial Tour: AIDS Memorial Exhibition
with David Aaron Schwartz and Eric LeRouge
Join us for a personal curatorial tour of the AIDS Memorial Exhibition led by curator David Aaron Schwartz and Eric LeRouge. Drawing on his extensive experience after decades in music industry, Schwartz will guide visitors through the exhibition, offering unique perspectives on select artworks and their significance to him; highlighting key pieces in the exhibition. Eric LeRouge will be in dialogue, sharing personal views and his own journey through the AIDS Memorial exhibition, both curators sharing their selection and relevance to the AIDS Memorial theme.
Schwartz’s expertise in film and media will offer a unique lens through which to view the exhibition, particularly focusing on video installations and multimedia works. His approach will emphasize the power of visual storytelling in addressing complex emotional and social issues surrounding HIV/AIDS.
This tour provides an excellent opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the exhibition’s themes, including remembrance, community resilience, and the evolving narrative of HIV/AIDS in art and society.
The tour will begin at 15:30.
This event is part of the AIDS Memorial Exhibition program at Instinct Berlin, supported by our community partners.
